Most Valuable Player - Morten Gamst Pedersen

Everyone missed old boy Damien Duff for his dribbling talents, and most thought that we may never find a replacement on par with Duffy. The club has acquired a gem when Graeme Souness signed Norwegian winger Morten Gamst Pedersen from Tromso in 2004 for £1.5million. He was also in the shortlist of Manchester United, Tottenham, Newcastle, and Aston Villa.

Truly some fans may agree that Pedersen can be considered as one of the best players for Blackburn Rovers. The talented left winger, though he can play in either flank, has scored a brace against Manchester United at Old Trafford. One of the reasons that Rovers has qualifed for UEFA is his ten goals last season.

To boast the European campaign in Season 2006/07, Morten Gamst Pedersen has signed a new four-year contract, which will keep him at Ewood Park until the summer of 2010.
