1994/95 Premiership Winning Team

Jack Walker has secured the services of master tactician Kenny Dalglish, and gave him financial backing to assemble a team capable to challenge for honours.

Blackburn Rovers were exerting comparable spending power signing footballers in the transfer market to present-day Chelsea. The English transfer records were broken when Rovers paid £3.3 million for Alan Shearer and later £5 million for Norwich City striker Chris Sutton. The page shows the transfer fees Rovers paid for each player who played in the season.

Rovers was runner-up behind odds favourite Manchester United at season 1993/94. A season later, Rovers lost 2-1 to Liverpool on the last game, however Manchester United could only manage a 1-1 draw at West Ham. Jack Walker lifted the 22-club Premiership trophy on a point advantage.
